The most wonderful time of the year is finally here, and, with it, a buzz of excitement for tradition, family, and home. Many note that the Christmas season looks a lot different at college, away from the familiarity of our roots. Here’s some simple but effective ways to “deck the halls” of your dorm room, bringing home at least a little bit closer to SVU.

4 Foot Christmas Tree — $24.99

It may be half the size of a usual one, but a Christmas tree of any kind is a sure way to feel more a part of the Christmas season.

Chocolate Advent Calendar — $8.00

Waxy chocolate and all, this is always a classic way to make the holidays seem less far away.

Standard Christmas Lights — $3.00

Christmas Lights. Need I say more?

Christmas Pillows — $6.98

Need some bedding to go with your Christmas pajamas? Cheap Christmas pillows got you covered.

Photo Printing — $.39

Looking to get crafty? Print out a bunch of pictures of family and friends for extremely cheap using this link from Walgreens and use them to create a Christmas tree on your dorm wall!

Christmas Pajamas — $5.55

Throwing on a pair of festive pajamas makes literally any problem completely disappear. (Don’t quote me on that.)

Mini Ornaments — $5.00

What’s that? You need miniature ornaments for your miniature tree mentioned above? One step ahead of you.

Initial Stockings — $1.88

On brand with the mini tree and trimmings, complete the look with a miniature stocking complete with a personalization. Perfect for hanging above your hearth, I mean AC unit.

We wish you the best of luck on finals and the last week of classes and, even more so, we wish you the merriest of Christmases. Hoping there’s something on this list that might make you feel a little bit closer to home before you get there!
