Mountainside Getaway: Massanutten Resort

If you or your friends are looking to book a fun vacation for Spring Break, the Massanutten Resort is a great option to look into. Located less than an hour and a half away from campus, Massanutten consists of several different amenities to accommodate activities all year round. With 6,000 acres of mountainside terrain, visitors are provided with breathtaking views and fresh air everywhere.

During the warmer seasons, visitors can enjoy mountain biking, hiking trails, several 18-hole golf courses, a FlingGolf course, a community swimming pool, kayaking, and so much more. When it gets colder, the resort offers downhill skiing, snow tubing, and ice skating.

There are also several different amenities that can be taken advantage of regardless of the season. One of the biggest attractions at Massanutten is their indoor/outdoor waterpark, ranked “#2 Indoor Water Park in America” by USA Today Readers’ Choice 2018. In addition, the resort offers a wide variety of dining options, convention/recreation centers, and nightly events.

As a student here at Southern Virginia University, it is great to have such a great destination that’s not far from campus.
