Student Life Sponsors End of Semester Carnival!

By Marcos Vinicius da Silva Dias

Every semester, Student Life sponsors a carnival for students to go and enjoy themselves at. This semester, the spring carnival will be April 23 and will have many cool activities like rock climbing, mechanic bull riding, sumo fighting and much more. The carnival always has good attendance and this semester Student Life expects the same.

Riley Rehl (‘23) loved her time at a previous carnival.

“It was super fun, it was a great opportunity to spend time with friends. It was a good activity put on by Student Life.”

Korryn Bowers (‘23), from Student Life, shared what their purpose is by bringing the carnival to Southern Virginia, saying,

“Following the Polynesian night from Friday, we wanted to continue the festivities having the carnival at Southern Virginia on Saturday. Also, because we are at the end of the semester, we are trying to organize fun events for the students to relieve their stress before finals.”

Student Life always brings cool events to Southern Virginia to make students happier and it seems to be working!

“The carnival nights at Southern Virginia are always super fun. The amount of activities there are make it so that there’s always something for everyone!” says Katie Larsen (‘22).

The next event to be held by Student Life will be a pancake party on April 27. Student Life always posts their upcoming events on the Knight app, where you can find all things relevant to Southern Virginia University students.

Download the app and be aware of everything happening on campus!

Go Knights!
